OUT OF AFRICA

I awoke this morning in Nairobi at 5:00 to the sound of people still partying from a political rally for the ODM party of Kenya and now I am sitting at the kitchen table in my parents house in Canada. Surreal. It's 3:45 am and I tried to sleep - unsuccessful. Within a matter of hours time has been so warped and I have been transplanted from walking barefoot on red African soil, kayaking on the nile, eating fresh Talapia cooked on the banks of the river, riding boda-boda's, drinking Nile Specials and soaking up the sights and sounds of Eastern Africa from a small village in in Uganda to sitting at the kitchen table in Edmonton with an extra blanket wrapped around my feet to keep them warm from the fall chill of Alberta. Now what...
